Stoneholl Connector for Magento 2

Optional account connection, cached entitlement information and compatible-release checks for Magento 2. Connection status never controls installed functionality.

Optional connection. Independent installed modules.

Stoneholl Connector is the optional Magento2 connection package for a Stoneholl project. It displays locally installed modules, cached entitlement information and compatible releases. API outages, expired service terms, revoked credentials or disconnection never disable installed functionality. Core remains fully offline.

Checks you can understand and configure

Automatic and manual checks

Automatic checks default to Yes, with a minimum interval of six hours and a stale-status threshold of 24 hours. Configure intervals from 1–168 hours and stale thresholds from 1–720 hours. Magento 2 cron must run. A failed or incomplete refresh retains the last complete snapshot.

Explicit account navigation

Account links inherit the Core Marketplace URL plus /account unless Account URL Override is set. Clear the override to follow Core changes. Navigation addresses never change the API or Composer endpoints or redirect credentials.

Recoverable connection workflows

Pair with a code from Stoneholl Account after reviewing the displayed technical metadata. Credentials are encrypted with Magento 2’s encryption key and are never displayed. Rejected credentials require an account-issued recovery code for the same Installation ID; pending operations must remain resumable.

Explicit metadata, protected credentials

Real pairing and synchronization send the selected environment, installation domain, Magento 2 edition/version, PHP version and product codes needed for compatible-release lookup. No customer, order, catalog, payment, session or Composer credential data is transmitted. API transport requires HTTPS, the /api/v1 path and an exact allowed host; redirects are rejected. No requests run from storefront or checkout paths. Grant staff only the Connector permissions they need. The website demo uses fixed fictional metadata and accepts no actual pairing or recovery code.

Informational status, no automatic installation

Connector does not install updates automatically or enforce installed module use. Pairing, rotation, unlink and verified reset are real server operations in Magento 2; this website only simulates selected states. Preserve Magento 2’s encryption key and pending operations. Removing the package does not revoke remote credentials or automatically purge state; unlink and complete the verified workflow before intentional cleanup.

Install, review, then connect

Install through Composer, enable Stoneholl_Core and Stoneholl_Connector and follow normal backup, Magento 2 upgrade, DI, Admin static deployment and cache procedures. Requires Core 1.x, Magento 2 cron and outbound HTTPS. Under Stores > Configuration > Stoneholl > Connector, configure Automatic Checks and Account URL Override at Default scope. Pairing and credentials are managed separately under Stoneholl > Connector.

Published 1.0.0 release evidence

Release documentation records Magento Open Source 2.3.7-p4 / PHP 7.4.33 and Magento Open Source 2.4.9 / PHP 8.5.9 runtime validation. Other combinations allowed by Composer and Adobe Commerce have not been runtime validated. Real operations require API v1/schema 2 and the corresponding server capabilities; rotation additionally requires idempotent_credential_rotation. The website simulation does not certify live integration or third-party Admin layouts.
